3/3/2022 Update
Good Afternoon BHRSD Families and Colleagues,
I hope you are doing well.
I’m sharing some updates in our approach to COVID-19, specifically masking.
I continue to review data, federal, state, and local guidance as well guidance from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
The data are very good and regularly getting better.
Starting Monday March 7th, masks will be optional including in PK.
Per the new new CDC guidance, masks will also be optional on buses.
We hope to continue to support our weekly pool testing and at home rapid testing.
If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do with this link.
At-Home Rapid Antigen Testing on Monday mornings before school. (opt-in form)
We have been talking about this transition in our schools and are working hard to support the choices that students and families will make.
We will carefully watch and intervene around any issues connected to bullying or harassment.
If the numbers change, I will share updates and potential shifts in our approach.
We will require masks for spectators at large gatherings including basketball games.
If you have questions, reach out to me or the school nurses.
Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine.
Peter
