Principal's Message

Welcome to a Wonderful New School Year at Du Bois!

Dear Du Bois Families,

I feel so honored to join this amazing community! In just a few short weeks, I’ve already learned so much about the "Du Bois Way" and the incredible spirit that makes our school so special. Our team has been working hard all summer to prepare an engaging, thoughtful, and challenging experience for your student, and we truly can’t wait to get started.

As we step into this year together, I want you to know that family communication is my #1 priority. Strong partnerships between home and school are what make our students thrive.
Here are a few quick ways we can stay connected:

  • Open-Door Policy: My door is always open for whatever you need. Please feel free to call, email, or schedule an appointment anytime. My extension is x2302 and my email is seth.lewislevin@bhrsd.org.
  • Crew Communication is Key: Your student’s Crew teacher is your primary point of contact. Please reach out to them often—they will be doing the same with you!
  • Feedback Matters: Whether it’s positive, constructive, firm or fair, your insight helps us continuously improve how we serve your child and family. Please bring incidents of bullying directly to me and expect nothing less than a quick response and results.
  • Connecting Soon: I am currently making my way through phone calls to connect with every family, with a goal to finish by the third week of school. If we haven't spoken yet, please feel free to reach out or stop by before the hustle and bustle of the term kicks into high gear!

Enjoy these final moments of summer and soak up every bit of time with your amazing tweens and teens—it goes by so fast!

In partnership,
Seth

Arrival and Dismissal
Arrival and dismissal will work the same as they did last year.

Fifth and sixth-grade students should be dropped off in front of the building. Seventh and Eighth-grade students should be dropped off in the rear parking lot. If you have students in both these levels, please use the front for drop off.

Dismissal--School is dismissed at 2:40. Only buses should go into the bus loop. All parent pick-ups are in the back parking lot.

Dismissal to Muddy Brook
Students who will be picked up at Muddy Brook at Muddy Brook’s dismissal time may stay after school. We will have staff specifically assigned to monitor this group of students and keep track of who is present. Students will be brought over to Muddy Brook at 3:15.
