Position:                Long-Term Substitute – Moderate Disabilities Teacher Grades 5-8

School:                  W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School

Requirements:      MA Teaching Certification preferred

Qualifications: Demonstrated success in working with and developing appropriate programming for students with moderate disabilities such as specific learning disabilities or emotional disabilities: (to include – use of applied behavior analysis strategies & techniques; implementation of behavior intervention plans; delivery of research based, high quality reading, writing and mathematics instruction; delivery & support of social-emotional learning for health & well-being; assessment of student growth & progress using a data-based approach; planning differentiated data-based instruction for all types of students; Ability to write data based ITP goals to recommend appropriate accommodations and modifications, and to do robust progress monitoring; ability to lift or transfer up to 60 pounds) Demonstrated success in the inclusion setting and supporting the transition to the inclusion setting for students with moderate disabilities, including collaboration with special and general educators to adjust, modify and develop appropriate programming. Other qualifications as established by the District.

Starting Date: As soon As Possible until the current teacher returns to positions

Salary: As Per BHEA Unit A Contract
