Position:                                 Moderate to Severe Disabilities Teacher Grades 5-8 

School:                                   Monument Valley Regional Middle School                                            

Requirements:                      MA Teaching Certification – (Teacher of Students with Moderate to Severe Disabilities)  

Qualifications:                      Demonstrated success in working with & developing appropriate programming for students with moderate to severe disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders and/or significant cognitive & developmental disabilities or delays (to include – use of applied behavior analysis strategies & techniques; implementation of behavior intervention plans; delivery of reading, writing, mathematics & science instruction; intervention & support in reading & math; delivery & support of social-emotional learning for health & well-being; assessment of student growth & progress using a data-based approach; planning differentiated data-based instruction for all types of students; ability to lift/transfer up to 60 pounds)  Demonstrated success in supporting transition to inclusion setting & and instruction for students with moderate or severe disabilities, including collaboration with special & general educators to adjust, modify & develop appropriate programming. Other qualifications as established by the District.

Salary:                                               As Per BHEA Unit A Contract
