School Choice: parents from other school districts may send students to the BHRSD provided
space is available in its programs and grade levels

The School Committee of the BHRSD has approved the Massachusetts' School Choice Program since its inception in 1992. Under this legislation, parents from other school districts may send students to the BHRSD provided space is available in its programs and grade levels. Parents provide transportation for their children.

Those parents considering School Choice as an option for their children are encouraged to meet with appropriate school principal and explore the programs and curricula. The district is proud of its outstanding academic offerings and its fine arts and athletic activities, all of which have consistently achieved state level awards and recognition.

Parents who wish to have a child enter BHRSD under School Choice must send a letter to the Superintendent of Schools. The letter should include the child's name, age, grade level and the date when the parents would like the child to begin in our district.
